Inarc Design Hong Kong Limited is an international multi-award-winning practice in interiors and architecture. Two recent projects, the International Headquarters of CLP Holdings Limited and The Members Main Entrance – Canopy and Lobby for The Hong Kong Jockey Club, demonstrate the practice’s approach to complex large-scale environments in Hong Kong.

Similarly, Inarc Design was appointed by The Hong Kong Jockey Club to create and deliver a new unique entrance design venue for the Shatin Racecourse. The inspiration for the design evolved from the need to comfortably accommodate up to twenty-one vehicles under one roof while also creating an elegant contextual and structural form that would resonate with the existing roofs.

The dramatic barrel-vault canopy appears to float over the three-lane covered driveway and is supported by eight V-shaped columns inspired by the structural forms of the existing building. Natural daylight filters into the space through ten long skylights and curved aluminium ceiling panels to create a memorable arrival experience for members, guests and dignitaries.
