This residential interior project by Nikki Hunt’s Design Intervention is a living embodiment of its owner – a celebrated fashion designer known for her fearless use of colour, patterns, and textural richness. Nikki Hunt’s Design Intervention was tasked with crafting an interior that is not just a backdrop to her life but an extension of her creativity, as personal and tailored as a haute couture gown. Drawing inspiration from her fashion collections, every corner of this home has been crafted with precision. This home is not just a reflection of its owner, it is an extension of her artistry, capturing her essence in every line, colour, and texture.

The client’s requirements were clear: a home teeming with colour and vitality; fun, frivolous and romantic with a sense of glamour. Expansive spaces for entertaining were essential, including a games room with a pool table and a bar and lounge area to host fashion shows. A seamless indoor-outdoor flow was key. The home should be open for entertaining, yet also feel intimate when her daughters were away at university.

She requested a kitchen where she could entertain close friends as she cooks, and a separate, functional kitchen, laundry and rest area for the live-in service staff. Personalised rooms for her two university-aged daughters were important, with a separate study area and a stand-alone TV watching room. An expansive master suite is romantic and calm, supporting her creativity, mental wellbeing and encouraging relaxation. A home office area encourages her creativity.
