The owner of Soulfit Pilates requested TINT Design to refresh the look and feel of the new branch at Villa ARI Community Mall, a department store in a suburban area of Bangkok, Thailand. The atmosphere at previous branches was dull and somewhat uninspiring, lacking thoughtful design treatment. Spaces were not well-organised, particularly in areas such as storage and staff workspaces. The brand itself lacked a strong identity, making it difficult for customers to recognise it beyond its logo and services.
A business partner addressed these issues and introduced a new colour scheme featuring turquoise-green with touches of orange. A simple circular frame was added around the logo, along with background panels to emphasise it. Rounded shapes, soft corners, and arches were introduced throughout the design. These elements were originally incorporated to reflect the curvy and fluid movements of Pilates trainers.
The spatial configuration is designed to maximise functionality within an optimal 40m2 layout, accommodating four to five Pilates machines, including the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda, and Barrel. A tunnel-like corridor, integrated with a built-in bench, serves as both a transitional pathway and a stylish, Instagram-worthy shooting spot. Throughout the space, rounded shapes, circles, and semi-circles are consistently applied to reinforce brand recognition, blending aesthetics with functionality.
The outcome after applying the gradient colour to both corridors resulted in a transitional waiting area that exudes a cosy pastel look, effortlessly conveying the brand’s new design essence.
